But Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is greater than I can bear.
Behold, this day You have driven me from the face of the earth, and On the way to Jesus's Crucifixion, a Man among the crowd shouted and demanded -
from Your face I will be hidden; I will be a fugitive and a wanderer "Go on! Go on and receive your prize that which you
on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” rightfully deserve, there is no reason for you to be around here any longer!"
“Not so!” replied the LORD. “If anyone slays Cain, then Cain will be avenged sevenfold.”
And the Lord placed a mark on Cain, so that no one who found him would kill him. In reply, Jesus said - "I go, but you shall remain until i come again......"
So Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and settled
in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Christopher was alligned with The Wandering Spirit, He makes refrence to it multiple times in his writings and journals.

He was a young man who, on the outside, had a seemingly stable family, but with all the circumstances of his youth, he decided to leave it all and pursue a life of Nod. *.
Believing that abandoning all security was the key to fulfillment, Mcandless took off on the search for ultimate adventure. And in the April of 1992, found what
appeared to be an abandoned bus in the alaskan wilderness. ===============================================================================================================
But, unbeknownst to the young adventurer, this would soon become his final resting place.... ===============================================================================================================
The spirit and courage of Chris Mcandless went on to inspire a book by the name of "Into the Wild" which later got adapted into a feature film. Some think he was a brave soul to face the challanges of the wilderness, while others think he was no less than an ignorant young man who
idealised an old, more unforgiving way of life...
NOD = "Nod" (נוד) is the Hebrew root of the verb "to wander" (לנדוד). Therefore, to dwell in the land of Nod can mean to live a wandering life
